International Perfusion week from president

Dear Esteemed Members,

01/05/21 On the occasion of International Perfusion Week,

I would like to extend my sincere wishes and prayers to you as well as your families. The pandemic has brought about a complete change in our outlook towards life. While it has brought about challenges, some of which still seem insurmountable, it has also displayed a human quality so rarely seen in modern times; resilience.

Resilience in the face of adversity coupled with the hope of a better tomorrow are the ingredients which has always propelled mankind to survive, thrive, flourish and prosper. I am extremely proud of the many innovative practices and out-ofthe-box thinking employed by many of our esteemed colleagues, to rise up to the increased work schedule and still deliver optimal patient care.

Our fraternity has always adopted innovative practices, some of which may be deemed as “impossible” by many of our colleagues in other parts of the world; yet it is the same practice of innovation which has helped us delivers the goods whenever and wherever we are called upon to fulfil our professional responsibilities. I hope that the Administrative Bodies take note of our contribution to patient care and provide us with the recognition which we richly deserve.

The Allied Health Regulation Bill which was passed in Parliament is the first step of many which have to be taken towards this end. I have no doubt that our fraternity will get a systematic, scientific and professional regulatory framework, which will benefit us in times to come Since last one year we strive to achieved many targets to reach out our goal even though we faced tough challenges due to COVID 19 I would like to appreciate and express my gratitude to all the Perfusionists who all contributed for the ISECT programs and its growth over the year and its success. I sincerily express my heartfelt tribute to all those who lost their lives, our beloved n nearest one from our midst and ask Almighty to grant them eternal life May their souls rest in Peace AMEN Once again, I thank all of you for the phenomenal work done in these extraordinary times. May the Divine Lord keep us and our loved ones hale, healthy and hearty with all joy and happiness..

. Cheers ..... with warm regards

Mr Simon Richard Pinto
